What is Communiversity?
Communiversity is a continuing education program committed to providing the residents of Providence Point with opportunities to expand their knowledge of the world and stretch their intellect and artistic horizons. The program, started in 1985, is also open to members of nearby communities.
Communiversity offers a wide range of small, informal (non-credit and non-graded) classes in an atmosphere in which students and faculty interact as peers. Past class offerings have ranged from poetry, drama and folk dance to ethics, science and modern history. Classes are taught by men and women who have extensive experience in their fields and excellent teaching credentials. Many are active or retired faculty from colleges and universities.

Classes are held in available facilities on the Providence Point campus or at Trinity Lutheran College which is adjacent to Providence Point. Classes generally meet once a week for an hour and a half. Each fall, winter and spring quarter is eight weeks in length.
